Barbara, Lola and I wandered into town to Zachary’s for breakfast, then Barbara and I wandered toward the beach. A bit of shopping, lots of strolling, and just as we were arriving back at the hotel, Donna and Jim Toothman drove up.
Donna was my riding partner for much of the 2013 Southern Tier ride. I wanted so much to reconnect with her and Jim and they graciously drove a half hour to take May and me to lunch and a scenic tour of Santa Cruz harbor and Capitola.
It was a beautiful day, bright sunshine with little evidence of smoke, temperatures into the 80s.
The hotel is hopping this evening with a fundraising event for the Diversity Center of Santa Cruz County.
